Terms of use
By creating a key or using the API you accept these terms.
#Licence and attribution
SENTINARA analyses (warning levels, forecasts, scores, derived series) are licensed under CC BY 4.0. The underlying data keep the terms of their sources: WHO, OpenDengue (CC BY 4.0), Dinas Kesehatan Kota Semarang, World Bank (CC BY 4.0) and NASA POWER.
Credit visibly, for example:
Source: SENTINARA (sentinara.org), based on WHO Global Dengue Surveillance and OpenDengue. Data updated 2026-10-31.
Every response includes meta.attribution and meta.data_updated_at to make this easy.
#Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to bypass limits (for example by rotating many keys or addresses), probe for vulnerabilities outside the security policy, or degrade the service.
- Do not present SENTINARA signals as official outbreak declarations or as medical advice. Warning levels are statistical signals for analysts.
- Do not resell raw API access. Building products and services on top of the data, with attribution, is welcome.
We may revoke keys that break these terms, after contacting the email on the key where possible.
#Privacy
We store only what is needed to run keys: name, email, optional purpose, allowed origins, creation and last-use times, a keyed hash of the creating IP address, and daily request counts (deleted after 90 days). We never sell or share this data, and use the email only for messages about your key or the API. Ask for deletion at privacy@sentinara.org; revoking a key keeps only the minimal record needed to show it was revoked.
#Availability
The API is provided free, as is, without warranty or service-level agreement. We aim for stability and will announce breaking changes at least 90 days in advance in the changelog. Deprecated endpoints return a Deprecation header before removal.
#Changes to these terms
Material changes are announced in the changelog. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
